And many were complaining that help wasn't coming fast enough? One lady received a dried food package from the Red Cross and said "This isn't cutting it!".

Back to that "personal responsibility" thing.

All those people in our prayers, but you have to be able to take care of yourself if possible, the government usually is slow in responding. Elderly/ children are most needy right now, hope things get better fast. BE PREPARED.

Must be why crews from Colorado went to the South, instead of the Northern coast.

I'm sorry ... but I have no sympathy for NJ coastal people who chose to "ride out" the storm and had less than a weeks worth of supplies. Who educated these idiots?

I do feel that New Yorkers were falsely led into a sense of security with Bloombergs remarks Saturday evening. He did change his tune on Sunday .... but his message might not have been heard by all. The people of Statan Island should have been evacuated much earlier.

I saw in Alabama and Louisiana the destruction of Katrina first hand. I also saw the wise decisions they made post Katrina to protect and not rebuild in many areas. NJ seems reluctant to make the same decisions.

I'm sure the people left out in the cold and with no juice, is really worried that the people that came to help isn't union.

The Red Cross brought hot chocolate and cookies. The people needed bottled water and Trump sent in a load of that.
