Huckabee Presidential ambitions are down the drain! He pardoned the guy who shot the four officers in Seattle.

He didn't pardon the guy. He commuted his sentence from 100+ years to 47 years and the guy was still in jail. He was paroled later by the parole board.

If you are going to hang Huckabee at least get it right.

    Huckabee done!!!

If this country can elect a socialist community organizer that befriended a known terrorist, this country will elect anyone.

Huckabee kicks his feet up on the desk and does nothing - and the guy continues to rot in an Arkansas jail - forever.

    Simple, isn't it?

    ...apparently not.

Why are all these people wanting Huckabee to be done? He was a man and got on national tv and admitted his part of it but it is far from his fault. You mean Teddy boy could stay in office all that time after what he did and Huckabee is done? No wonder the conservative base gets nowhere, we eat our own.

Huckabee is clearly not responsible for anything that happened in Seattle. As the earlier posts states he commuted the sentence, which DID NOT turn him loose, the Arkansas Parole Board did that. Oregon let him go on rape and assault charges. So lets put blame where it belongs.

Huckabee is one of the very few "stand up" politicians around.

buzz has been in the catnip again.

Huckabee signed a piece of paper sent to him by the Parole board, Judge, Attorney General, and prosecuting attorney. There were some 1200 of these a year.

All reccomended a reduction in sentence. The Parole board let him out. Not Huckabee.

He went on to a large list of crimes, and in Washingon a judge let him bond out for an easily attainable bondsmand stipend.

I can't believe because Huckabee's name is well known that all these Kool Aid drinkers want to put this one on him.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good idiotic roasting, though.

Why would anyone in their right mind commute or suggest anything other than a Lethal injection if this guy is as bad as they claim ..? Leave him rot in jail and then in hell once he dies in his cell ... The Parole Board must of found some merit to Huckabee commuteing his sentance and that might of clouded their thoughts or gave them a reason to second guess their thoughts on the matter ... Just thinking while typing, but now it all makes sense ... Huckabee is fried ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Bill, the Parole board reccomended Huckabee Shorten his sentence. Along with several other officials. He was still in jail until the board let him out.

Huckabee followed their reccomendations. 9 years ago. I found the above link, looks like the guy went gonzo.

I don't really know if Huckabee had a future in politics or not. He says he is happy at Fox News. At any rate I don't think this will hurt him badly. After all, he didn't pardon him. He just cut his time to serve and the parole board did the rest.

Well, dolphin, if you think the killings were created 9 years ago by Huckabee's actions, I have to say you are not a very good reader.

In fact, your statement sounds quite moronic. Be of good cheer, you are not alone in your moronicism. You have plenty of company on this site.

Huckabee has to take a big part of the blame in the release of this scum bag by starting the whole process with his initial commutation of this murderer's sentence that allowed the parole board to act as it did. Sure a lot of people are at fault in the fiasco that allowed this lowlife to get to the act of the police killings, but Huckabee at the minimum is the enabler that set this senseless process in motion.

Dolphin, I just hope you never get to know how it feels to lose a fellow Police Officer and a best friend at the same time. But then I can tell by your post that you will probably never be a Police Officer.

Huck followed the recommendations of the liberal court system set up by Slick Willy. Big mistake. It'll be all but forgotten by election time. I hope he wont be the candidate though. I don't think a Baptist minister can be elected but then again I didn't think I'd ever see a person named Obama would ever make the Whitehouse.

Oh great. Huckabee admitted the guy had a file several inches thick. He was sentenced to 108 years for a reason. Huckabee said "well he was only 16 when he committed the crimes" so I will commute his sentence. Didn't Huckabee realize this would make him eligible for parole? If not, why not? Looks like he enabled the process leading to the murder's release to me. Just can't admit that a Republican politician made a mistake can you Halfmile? One survey showed Huckabee issued more clemency's from 1996-2004 than any of the governor's in the surrounding states. In 10.5 years as governor, Huckabee pardoned or reduced the sentences of 1,033 prisoners. In the 17.5 years prior to Huckabee's terms as governor, the three Arkansas governors together only pardoned or reduced the sentences of 507 prisoners. And then there is Wayne DuMond. Huckabee's letter to DuMond in jail started out "Dear Wayne". Yeah, right. Huckabee is tough on crime.
