I need to remove the stock from a Beretta 687. Do I need to remove the screws from the false sideplates in order to remove the stock?

    Thanks,
    Wayne

Yes!!!...others with more experience can explain this further. And be sure to "time" them when you reassemble. Regards, Ed

So what is the correct screwdriver to use? Is this something I can get from Brownell's?

    Thanks,
    Wayne

I was able to remove the two screws using a .019 feeler gauge. The "escutcheons"? fell out of the wood. What should I use to hold them in place while I start the screws? Some sort of adhesive?
    Thanks,
    Wayne
