How To Remove Metal From Fore-End - TM-1

    Please advise the secret how to remove the metal from the fore-end of my TM-1.
    Going to attempt to refinish myself. Thanks in advance. Bob in Los Angeles

    Take the wood off the gun. Looking at the foreand from the side that butts against the gun, push the button in a little. There is a screw in the slot remove it and you should have no problem. Bulge.

    Don't take the screw out all the way, just far enough to allow the release button to come out the front. Then insert your stock wrench into the hole where the button should be and unscrew the button sheath. Your iron can now be removed. When reinstalling, make sure that the sheath is snug and the the slot in the rod is facing up so the screw goes into it rather than just on it.
