Can anyone tell me how to remove the gold filling from my beretta that has been done from one of the aftermarket gold filling kits? Some one filled in the engraving with this and I want to take it out. Mineral spirits do not seem to work. I appreciate any help I can get.

Aerosol brake parts washer and a rosin brush did the trick for me.

I used lacquer thinner and a stiff nylon bristle brush. Worked well and left no residue or staining.

Acetone is BAD stuff. Use it only in fresh air or with a very good air cleaning system.
