I have a Beretta 391 with a Bruce Ney recoil system. I need to remove it so I can remove the stock. I am looking to change the plastic spacer between the stock and receiver. I removed the 3 wood screws from the rear that hold it in, but the unit does not come off. I'm afraid to force it and risk damage to the unit and/or stock. Any tips are appreciated!

    Ridgeway,

Remove the two screws that holds the pad on.
Remove the two screws that holds the unit to the stock.
Pull out slightly, turn whole unit to the side, line up the unit at a 45 degree angle from the stock, line up the hole that has a pivit wheel (pivit wheel runs in a track under the comb) and lift up to remove. Just like that the Bruce Ney unit comes off, then reverse the procedure to put back on.

Hope this helps, done it many many times.
