When you make a thread or reply to a posting you will notice a box titled "website address". Type the address to the link you have in that box. If the address isn't too long then it will appear in blue once you have submitted your post. Try it on the address for P/W above.

I see that some people are able to put the link at the end of their message. How do they do that? Neil

Putting the link at the end of a message does nothing to make it clickable. The link has to be in the "Website URL:" box to become active.

Some of the longer addresses may not work when posted to the "Website URL", so in addition some also include the URL at the end of the posting.

There use to be a way to insert clickable links within the posting if you knew the proper HTML code, but have done so in a long time and not sure if it can still be done. Some boards disable that function as a security measure.

There is also a way to do it with HTML Code in your message

    http://www.reloaders.com

Here is the code you need to input the link; substitute your website and link title.

    <code><A HREF="http://www.reloaders.com"> http://www.reloaders.com </A ></code>

Any long link can be made to fit the Web Address line by using the link above. Copy the long link and put it in the box marked as such and the website make a very short link that brings you to the same web sight.

As an example the TinyURL site will turn

    http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Wireless-Reading-Display-Globa lly/dp/B003FSUDM4/ref=amb_link_353259562_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIK X0DER&pf_rd_s=center-10&pf_rd_r=11EYKTN682A79T370AM3&pf_rd_ t=201&pf_rd_p=1270985982&pf_rd_i=B002Y27P3M

    Into the following URL

    http://tinyurl.com/KindleWireless

Bob is absolutely right, though some browsers if the security settings are set very high might not work with the url shorteners like TinyURL. It may sometimes get caught up because of the redirect that it necessarily has to do but it will work most of the time with most browsers and people.
