How old is my old BT99?

    About 40 miles west of Chicago, IL
    I'm shooting an older BT99 with serial number 72D12061.
    That series of numbers doesn't match up with the dating tables at Browning (link above).

    It matches the info but bass ackwards. Read the very first block. Yours is a BT-99 ( D ) made in '72 and is # 11061 of that year, all serials started at 1000. Browning stamped things in reverse those years.

    Now now. Old is a relative term. I was made in '49 HeH.
