If John McCain wants to win this election he should immediately cease campaigning against Obama and start campaigning against the United States Congress.

Nobody likes Congress. Most people like their own Congresscrook and maybe a Senator or two but they don't like the rest of them. I like my Congressman, but try as I might, I can certainly see no reason to like the rest of them and I am sure that if all the Representatives and all the Senators fell over dead tomorrow morning, the collective emotion would be similar to the mobs around the guillotines, "it creates a bit of a mess, but they certainly had it coming".

McCain finds it hard to blame Obama for anything because, let's face it, Obama has never done anything except for the standard crooked Chicago politician shtick and wandering around in the liberal desert somewhere to the left of John Kerryville.

McCain should basically say Congress has been screwing the American public but if you elect me, my number one mandate will be the screw Congress on your behalf, repeatedly. He should have a "Veto Special" ballpoint pen made big enough so that the people in the back row at every rally can easily see the writing on the side that says "Lubricated with Ben-Gay".

McCain should immediately call for the resignation of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. He should rail against the lack of leadership and he should blame the Democratic controlled Congress for everything from the rising cost of gasoline to Lindsay Lohan becoming a lesbian.

He should demand the elimination of mark to market and other anti-liquidity accounting rules. He should demand that the "Bailout" be converted into a "Financial Markets Loan Package" that has to be paid back with interest and without any ear marks or funding for sleazy, left-wing programs.

He should make Obama defend the Democrats in Congress in that they have a record and he doesn't. Obama can't run against Congress. He should tie the election of Obama to a continuation of the failed Congressional record. It also gives him the opportunity to tie Bush to the Democrat’s failed bailout thereby nullifying any further Obama rantings about his being a continuation of the "failed Bush policies".

Every Republican congressional or senatorial candidate in the United States should also immediately start running against everyone else in the Congress or Senate.

If McCain does this, he wins and he wins easily.

To do this he would first have to admit that they aren't his buddies. Sn. McCain still believes that he can reach across both aisles and common sense will prevail. It won't. Democrats more that anything want POWER and if Obama doesn't win, it may well be 12 to 16 years before they occupy the White House. If so, they won't get the judges to do their legislating they want.

Problem is....the President has no real authority over the Congress except the Veto.

A President is saddled and/or stuck with whatever trash the individual state's send to Washington.

You miss the point Jack. McCain, in each voter's mind, is not running against his own "good" congressman, he is running against the other 434 crooks.

How would you like if McCain said that he will create a DOJ task force to investigate every Representative and every Senator and the ones on the take were going to jail along with their crooked friends?

McCain, although viewing himself as a "maverick", still comes across as part of the D.C. problem. He's been in the Senate for so long, that his first inclination is compromise. The McCain-Feingold bill is just one of his debacles. He's too close to real liberals like Lieberman and Kennedy. Joe Lieberman, while he is an extremely moral man, still is too liberal when it comes to spending, and Kennedy...

I agree that running against Congress is a winner, but I don't think McCain will take the step. Coming back to D.C. last week, and suspending his campaign may appear noble, but it still paints him as part of the problem, instead of having a solution.

    JBrooks,

This is tantamount to what Obama is doing in running against Bush, not McCain. I certainly think that McCain should include this in his campaign but there is plenty to run against with ragards to Obama. While McCain has dialed up his attacks on Obama and his policies, he is still "playing nice" - certainly too nice for this very dangerous leftist.

If Obama is elected, look for this country to veer off in a very ugly direction. The Dems will interpret it as permission from the American people to destry much of what we believe in and to replace it with God knows what. America will change and your liberty will be the very first casualty!

He also needs to hide his Palin, a lot of her views have come out and she out of the ball park. When she was talking as about a pipe line, she said it was gods will. How would she know what gods will is? She also had a minister pray to free the witches from her!
She was also a member of a church that believes in the end of the man kind, that believes that wars in the middle east will bring back Christ! She also set up a Christian week in her home state, can any one say speration of Church and State. I'm sure thats the reason she has made so few apearances and has given so few interviews, There have been several requests inside the Rep party for her to step down!

It is getting late in the game and it appears that Obama is taking a commanding lead. Let us not forget that it will ultimately be the Electoral College that makes the final determination as to the next President rather then the popular vote.

McCain needs to quit playing nice and go straight for Obama's jugular. Exploit every weakness that is available. Barack Obama has known affiliations with terrorists, corrupt political activists, lobbyists and politicians. Obama has openly admitted his past abuse of recreational drugs and alcohol.

As President of the United States Obama will be Commander and Chief of our Armed Forces, though he could not pass muster at a military recruiting office due to his admitted drug abuse. Obama will be protected and advised by our Nations best Law Enforcement and Intelligence Agency's though he himself could not pass the background checks necessary to find an entry level position with the corrupt Chicago P.D. or any other law enforcement agency.

Attack Obama with every device available and let the chips fall where they will. So far the most damning thing I have heard about McCain is his age and the fact that he is a Republican, so what? As long as he is of sound mind he is light years ahead of Obama.

Do young liberals and minority voters realize that a vote for Obama is ultimately a vote for Socialism or worse? Do they really understand the ramifications of Socialism? Do they not understand that our "American Way of Life" will change dramatically if Obamas liberal agenda is fullfilled?

McCain needs to realize this is the fight of his life if he really wants to be President. The fair and balanced conservative media needs to become as fair and balanced as the liberal media that dominates the airwaves.

Members of Trapshooters.com can become proactive by keeping a constant flow of email flowing to their conservative and liberal friends. OU 3200-You might lisen to public talk radio! That's where it was broadcast! Sorry small mind, If you think it isn't true why not check into it! She is a little nuts, why do you think she running from interviews?, why do you think she isn't out campaigning for John McCain?, do you think she just doesn't want to! She is the only one of the four, that hasn't talked about her believes, doesn't that seem a little odd...................even to you!!!!!!!!!!! Why do you think she was added to the ticket, to bring in the far right, that didn't like McCain......The problem is that 98% of the Americans don't want someone like that in office, that's not counting the 2% that have no Idea what's going on!That's why she looked so much worse in he second interview! She has been instructed on what to say and what not to say! If the true was told there would be a lot of people running including yourself..............She one of McCain's big mistakes.........hide her.........!

"why do you think she isn't out campaigning for John McCain"

You may want to check her schedule. Only 60,000 people showed in Florida to see her and when with McCain they typically draw 20,000 to 30,000.

    Biden? He just draws flys.

Your right 60,000 turned out, how do you explain the lack of interviews and additional appearences. You are right her crowds have disappeared even when she is with McCain. It really looks like McCain has put the cuffs on her, something smells! That's the problem with picking someone that out of main stream! There are a lot of questions, she is far from a golden girl.........let's see what tonight brings!
