Vietnam, 7/1/68-1/20/70. Served most proudly with the 187th AHC in Tay Ninh and picked up 20 air medals in the process.

And Clyde Evans ("Red") was my roommate when I first arrived in Tay Ninh.

Czech linguist, U.S. Army Security Agency, 1961-65. Spent most of my service time in Tirchenreuth, which at the time was a small Bavarian town on the border with Czechoslovakia. Some of the happiest years of my life.

Can it be almost 50 years ago?

My father was in the navy, 4 uncles were in the army, one was a marine, and currently, several cousins still serving.

Each one gets my whole-hearted respect.

    May god bless them all.
