I have a BT99 that ejects the hulls.

I would perfer to have them extract only. Took the forarm apart and it appears if I just remove the ejector spring the shells will only be pushed out one eight of an inch. It would be best if they were extracted about 3/8 of an inch.

Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks, Charlie

1/8" is okay except when you're wearing gloves. ;-) I tried the ink pen spring idea on my Citori Plus and after 250+ rounds the spring guide rod popped out and wouldn't let the gun close (guess I shouldn't have used Bic springs). I was 3 birds from the end of the third trap in HCP. One thing good was the springs were weak enough that with a pair of borrowed needle nose I was able to put it back and finish the round.

Try the above link for some ideas. Good luck.

Use firing pin return springs from model 1911, works great I did my XT and no problems. Will last longer than pin springs.
