There is a wedge in the middle hanger, which affects the POI, as well as the front hanger. Both affect the POI of both barrels on the Kolar, Earl. Call Kolar and they will explain it in detail. Bill Malcolm

On the remington 3200, The hanger completely encircles the far end of the lower barrel and fits into a notch on the underside of the fixed top barrel.....that way the 2 barrels are attached and aligned together. The fixation region on the hanger comes in different thicknesses.

What you are altering by changing hangers is the amount of spacing between the barrels....these different thickness spacers either increase or decrease the space / angle between the lower and upper barrel...

so for example, if you put a thinner hanger/spacer in .....the lower barrel points up a bit more....since the upper barrel is fixed.

    anyway, hope that helps

You're all wet. Changing a hanger will affect the upper barrel impact at times. This is especially noticeable when using a very thin or very thick hanger to change the bottom barrel impact. The rib, while acting as a truss, does not have sufficient strength to prevent the upper barrel from flexing. It is sometimes advisable to use the center hanger-if possible-to make impact corrections!!

In a K-80 unsingle barrel, the barrel, is bent up or down by the rather strong fixed rib. This system of changing the POI is unique to the K-80 unsingle barrel. It does not apply to O/U barrel configurations.
