I would think that there should be about 25' between post 5 on field 1 to post 1 on field 2 at the 27 yd line.

The Michigan Trapshooting Association fields are 85' center to center. I think this is minimum, and would recommend 100' if you have the room.

For a straight trapline, a minimum of 25 yards from center of trap house to center of trap house which would also be 25 yards from center of post 3 sidewalks, 30 is better. For a curved trapline, to concentarte the shotfall area, you will need a bit more room between houses to keep 5 & 1 targets from overlapping too much.

Ditto on what MTA Tom said. 75 feet is just a bit too close. 100 would be a lot better if you have the space. With the advent of the voice releases, it costs clubs a lot of wasted birds during the handicap events from longer yardage shooters with louder than normal calls.

The ATA's minumum is 80 feet between traphouse centers. A local club's fields are made that way and work fine for all yardages.
