Red is Republican districts and Blue is Democrat....... How can it be that we are forced to suffer Double-Zero?

For you guys slamming Ohio and PA. look at the chart? There is something terribly wrong with this system. That, and we need to eliminate the 18 year old vote, with the exception of military and service corps. A maximum time period on welfare = restricted voter should also be considered.

It is most likely already too late for any meaningful change now. It's Katie bar the door for graft and corruption for the next 4 years. Survival is not certain.

You only need the heavily populated areas to win, plus that is where most of the "takers" live and spawn!!

Fellows relax. There is nothing more to be said or done; the good old USA is finished.

The historians can start to write her final chapter for the history book. We are so far passed the point of no return on so many issues it’s only a matter of time.

I wonder if the history books will ever mention that people elected TWICE a person that has to keep his past hidden; someone that they knew nothing about. But Romney was the bad guy.

Yaki we don't need to go that far, but it irks me that if you own land you pay for the school system ay least in Texas, and then the people with kids in school that don't own a house condo or any other real estate get to vote for bond issues that raise your taxes, you need to have skin in the game before you get to bet with other people's money, but I am leaning JayZap's way, we're history, just give them some more time

Some East Coast areas are like third world countries. Small cities where I grew up are now totally foreign. English is not spoken in the public areas or stores. Droves of foreign speaking langage people are hanging out in malls and on street corners. Looks like southern California in the eighties when droves of illegals hung out on street corners, parking lots, and malls, hoping for daily work.
How about you must show proof of citizenship in order to vote? This global citizen thing is old and worrisome. I can't vote in any foreign elections that I know of can you?

I agree with the school tax issue for sure. We're getting levy after levy passed by apartment dwellers. Even if I still kids in school it would chap my ass.

Unless we scale entitlements way back, and put in term limits, and pass a balanced budget amendment, I fear we are doomed. Everybody loves Santa Claus, but nobody wants to BE Santa Claus, as Rush said. I fear we're F&@%ED and have passed the point of no return.

The Republican Party is in a huge dilemma. Do they move more to the right to define themselves and risk losing a larger slice of the changing demographic pie, or do they move to the center to attract Hispanics and women and risk becoming just another liberal party? There are a lot of single-issue female voters who will not vote Republican due to the abortion issue. I'm not one of them (I'm scared sh$^less about the economy), but my mom was one of those women and I believe the country has changed and that the Republican Party cannot afford to shoot itself in the foot anymore on the womens issues. My teacher friend is fairly conservative and pro 2nd amendment but was alarmed at Paul Ryan's legislation to ban certain types of birth control. To a lot of women, that's unthinkable. Romney should have just picked Rubio.

I would vote Libertarian if we had a three party system. If the Republican Party continues to become more and more irrelevant, the Libertarian Party may actually have a chance to compete with the Dems.

Yes, there is the unfortunate Ross Perot incident which I participated in. Instead of splitting the red vote, maybe the Republican Party should look at taking a more libertarian stance. I don't see that happening though, with the religious right, pro-lifers and the war-hawks making up a large part of the base. We're F*$@ED. Plain and simple.

Tell me Jennifer what was - "Paul Ryan's legislation to ban certain types of birth control"? I guess I missed it because I don't know what your talking about. Please inform.

And let's don't get our hopes up about Rubio. I think he would be a great candidate but because he is Republican the media will crucify him and they got a long years to do it. I've already heard the lame stream media say Rubio really isn't Hispanic. They'll hang him like Clarence Thomas, Hermain Cain, etc......

If you want to change the Republican party you need to work it all year. When I say work it that means going to your county party meetings EVERY month. You can't expect to show up in Oct in even numbered years and expect the party to go your way.

Those people who work year round are the pro lifers, so yeah they are going to have more input.

I think we're screwed anywy, I think the freebies outnumber us anymore and there probably ain't anything we can do about it. I wonder how many of the 48M on EBT voted for Romney? Probably not a one. Wonder how many of the new 1000 a day people signing up for disability voted Republican? Any of em? How many government workers?

How do you out Democrat the Democrats? The majority of the people in this country don't care about Freedom but are more concerned about Free. FREE food, free section 8 housing, free condoms, free tutuition, free cell phones, free heating assitance...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I think it is funny that so many want to "change" the R party. Why does it need changing? Do we need to give up our values and beliefs because we think that by becoming D's we will win the election??? Really,,,,,think about it. If you change to be more like the D's, won't that make you a D???? Guess what,,,,,you still WON'T win.

Jennifer,,,,,your mother (no offense at her personally) is a big part of the problem,,,,,,they believe the BS that the media and feminazis throw at them,,,,,,,don't believe me,,,,,,ask them to SHOW exactly where a president can make policy,,,,,,he SIGNS legislation, that is it,,,,,,maybe we need to bring back the cartoons to show people how the Constitution works exactly.......

    <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tyeJ55o3El0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

In reality all we have left is the Constitution and for America to survive; we, the people, must hold congress' feet to the fire to govern according to it,,,,,,,it is just that simple.

A friend sent along her analogy; "how can you vote against Santa Claus". Pretty much says it all - except.

"all power comes for the end of a gun barrel' Mao.

As far as the party thing is concerned, conservatives will never overcome liberals until we start out-Alinsky'ing, the Alinsky's. I learned a similar lesson in RVN. The Gorilla tactics of the VC were usually much more successful than the NVA. We need to adapt the 'Starfish and the Spider" organizational style, and fight fire with fire, and not reason.

Adjust, adapt and overcome, or parish. I've been writing, calling and telling the RNC to stop buying rust-belt factories and get the oil companies to start buying the News Media for over 20 years. Gramsci was right, Democracy is only important when your belly is full.

Back when Kikita Khrushchev (Fart Czar's idol) was alive people thought his quote below was idiotic. Doesn't seem do idiotic now does it?

"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism,
but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."

In a related quote, Rick, Nikita also said:

"I once said, 'We will bury you,' and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you."

    That one came true too.

TinMan88, you need to invite your congresswanker to a poker game. You'll use the new flexible living rules of poker. You know where your Queen beats his Ace, or you pair beats his three of a kind. The rules are after all living and flexible.
