How many Trapshooters have horses? Or rather, how many wives have horses? We have two and let me tell ya, it is about a toss up as to which is more
    Expensive..........LOL

I,ve had horses. Two horses cost a lot more than the trap I shoot. :)

You just may have hit upon something. Perhaps shooting from horseback could be the new handicap system.

Funny you should ask that. My wife and her family love, and have had horses all of their lives. Some national champions. Her ex-husband (and a great friend and person) told me recently that he spent his life, income and fortune "feeding horses".

Am I wrong, same applies to trap...at least for some?

Happy New Year and best to all in the TS.com family,

    milt and Jimette

PS: Gary, your last statement was "priceless" and hillarious!

I remember watching The Johnny Carson show years ago and he had William Shatner on and Shatner was talking about his World Famous Arabian horses. Shatner told Johnny that his father told him "NEVER INVEST IN ANYTHING THAT EATS WHILE YOU SLEEP". Have never forgotten that. (and now I know, LOL)

My Sister recently got a "free horse" and soon learned that there is no such thing as a "free" horse. They cost a ton!

Had two that we rode and then I got neck injuries and quit riding. When wife decided to sell them I couldn't get them loaded up fast enough. Was afraid she would change her mind. Have two donkeys now that are big pets. Less expensive than the horses. Horses make trapshooting look cheap.

Not only do they eat but the deposit discounted remnants of that food for you to handle. Hey, how many tomato plants can you have?

    .

Now combine guns, horses, and airplanes and you have found the trifecta.

Just let my last 2 go. Was like watching the kids leave! Had them both for over 15 years, but went to a good home. Had them take the mini donkey at the same time. We were both tickled. Now I'll sell the hay and go trapshooting instead of feeding it away. Haven't rode in 4-5 years anyway.

We have a bunch of horses, the best horses there are, in fact on the farm we have over 1500 horses

And they all drink diesel fuel

Can shut them off when we're done with them

But I will admit, when it comes to working cattle you can't beat a good cutting horse, but an ATV works good too

I had horses; broke back twice, broke ribs 3 times, broke arms four times, broke leg, broke pelvis, broke shoulder... now I like to watch movies with horses in them. AJ

Celebrated New Year's eve at the movies. "War Horse" pretty spectacular.
