1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Here is a pair of high capacity (25# shot and 1# powder) reservoirs for your Hornady 366 loader. The tubes are made of acrylic plastic and will remain clear even when left full of powder. The bases are machined from 6061 aluminum and are securely attach to the Hornady measure with three set screws. The measure and reservoirs can be removed from the loader and inverted to change bushings without emptying the reservoirs. The aluminum bases have integral baffles to ensure consistent drops. The shot reservoir is big enough to fill from a 25# bag of shot without using a funnel.

I am going to make some more of these. They make a very nice improvement to the Hornady 366 loader. The shot reservoir holds 25 pounds of shot and the powder reservoir holds a pound of powder. The tubes are 1/8" thick acrylic tubing. The acrylic plastic will not discolor from exposure to the nitrates in the powder like the OEM plastic tubes.

Do you, or does anyone, make a similar setup for the MEC 9000G?

I do not. The only high capacity setup I have seen for the MEC is a jug hung above the bottles and a hose running into the bottle. Very simple and very crude.

Has anyone tried to make a shot and/or powder drain for the 366?

You can remove the measure with full reservoirs and just dump the contents out the top. You can also remove and invert the loaded assembly and slide the bar out to change bushings without emptying the reservoirs.

True, but it can be kind of a pain in the neck when you have 25 lb of lead shot in one of the tubes...

Does the size of the tube with the extra weight throw off your charge that the bushing will throw according to the book?

Each reservoir has a baffle built into its base design. The base of the high capacity reservoir supports the weight of the powder/shot. The bushing is only exposed to the volume of powder/shot in the measure between the bottom of the high capacity reservoir base and the top of the bar.

The powder charges from my powder reservoir are very consistent, usually less than 0.1 grain variation. Charges dropped with my high capacity reservoir will be the same weight as those dropped using the Hornady tube with the Hornady baffle.

Lead shot is not compressible like powder so it is not affected by pressure. The high capacity shot reservoir has a 5/8" diameter hole in the base that meters the shot flow into the measure. This design acts the same as a baffle by limiting the weight of the shot volume that acts on the bushing. This helps reduce shearing and binding during metering.

In summary, you will not experience any change in powder or shot drops with my high capacity reservoirs.
