I have had one and it works ok but is really a waste of money. Doesn't really do anything that the handle won't do.

The purpose of the auto-assist is to rotate the shell holder at a speed slow enough so a primer is not trapped as it drops into the seater. The shell holder brings the primers from the tube to the seater and if the handle is returned too fast the primer will be pinched between the shell holder and the seater pocket. You can control the return speed to keep this from happening once you get the hang of it. The auto-assist does this for you but as ntgr8 said it is really not necessary.
