I sure hope that the acid tongued leftists leave this forum after the election is decided and over the next few days. They have little if anything in common with most of the conservative shooters and sportsmen who post here. They've done their best to try and rile us up and have done nothing more than make us more determined to voted against their people. Go find some Commie-Pinko, leftwing blog and leave the true shooters alone!!

They have done a good job of stirring the pot for sure. I dont mind listening to their views , but when they start with the personal attacks, it really makes me mad. We can have a good debate, but their talking points just dont fly. I really feel sorry for them.

Yea... it's a real shame to have someone participate in a forum who doesn't automatically agree with everything all the 'right-thinking' people say. (SARCASM)

Just how afraid of other people's ideas are you? Most of the people who post to the political thread here seem to be terrified of even considering other ideas. Whatever happened to you so-called conservatives when it comes to the First Amendment?

Sorry mspears! I am with Barker totally on this one! I have zero, I repeat, zero use for your socialistic muzzie beliefs! This country was built and became the greatest country in the world or history based on what we stand for including capitalism, democracy, defending the constitution and patriotism! You do not nor will you ever understand any of that! I will be very happy when you leave! Good riddance trash! Tom Rhoads

    And you are an educator?????

Perhaps you might look up the words conservatism and conservative.

Stick with the modern definitions, not the ones of 200 years ago, because they are no longer valid in todays usage.

Saying that, let me quote you Oxfords:

conservative: tending to conserve; averse to rapid change;disposed to promote private enterprise.

liberal;given or giving freely; unprejudiced; not rigorous of studies.

    Might help you understand.

Our question to you, is why do you want to destroy a good thing???.

November surprise: EPA planning major post-election anti-coal regulation

President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency has devoted an unprecedented number of bureaucrats to finalizing new anti-coal regulations that are set to be released at the end of November, according to a source inside the EPA.

More than 50 EPA staff are now crashing to finish greenhouse gas emission standards that would essentially ban all construction of new coal-fired power plants. Never before have so many EPA resources been devoted to a single regulation. The independent and non-partisan Manhattan Institute estimates that the EPA’s greenhouse gas coal regulation will cost the U.S. economy $700 billion.

The rush is a major sign of panic by environmentalists inside the Obama administration. If Obama wins, the EPA would have another four full years to implement their anti-fossil fuel agenda. But if Romney wins, regulators will have a very narrow window to enact a select few costly regulations that would then be very hard for a President Romney to undo.

Environmentalists at the EPA pulled this trick before in 2000 when the Clinton administration rushed out a finding that Mercury emissions from power plants were a growing public health threat pursuant to the Clean Air Act. That finding did not regulate power plants itself, but it did force the Bush administration to begin a lengthy regulatory process. The Obama EPA has estimated that this regulation alone will cost the U.S. economy $10.9 billion a year.

Reached for comment, Romney spokesman Ryan Williams said:

President Obama won’t tell the voters of the Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania the truth about his plans to shut down the coal industry. Even after he loses on Tuesday, it appears that the President will still try to continue his efforts to kill their jobs and drive up their energy prices. Mitt Romney is committed to reversing the damage caused by the Obama Administration’s disastrous liberal agenda as soon as he takes office.

Is there anything you folks can do besides make personal attacks when trying to discuss an issue?

I really don't care if you do attack me (other than that we can't eengage in an honest discussion). It just means you can't answer my question and/or counter my argument. You reinforce my point(s)/argument every time you attack. The funny thing is I point this out to you over and over and you don't seem to get it.

Mark T, Can you not understand our emotion towards a President and his Party when they boo God at their convention, preach redistribution, and tell us that we didn't build our lives and businesses? Where did "Ask not what your Country can do for you" go? Hell yes we get upset with the defenders of that philosophy. Our ancestors died fighting that.
