gun1357 if you believe that your reason is correct have at it. Just do yourself a favor go to the link above and do some reading and then ask yourself is that is reason enough. Just Google "GM jobs overseas" and see what you come up with.

I will grant you that mine is an emotional attachment to GM. I was selected to go to General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan out of high school. I found that a didn't like working in a factory so we split. I have owned Chevy, Pontiac, Buick and Cadilac for 53 years and have never had a lemon. I currently drive a lucerne and Escalade. Many fond memories. I have to cling to something so I am claiming an attachment to the folks who work there. High truth. Ron

Most popular, most valuable franchise, most visible team in all of sports around the world. Sounds like good marketing to me.

Most popular sport on planet Earth. Last years Champions League final (which determines the best club team in Europe, just Europe) was watched by 300 million people. Last years Super Bowl had 111 million viewers. The World Cup final in 2010 which are national teams, not club teams drew 2.2 billion ( with a "b") viewers. Approx 1/3 of the population of planet earth.

Still sounds like good international marketing to me.
