There was a thread here awhile back about shooting carts and Tron's homemade cart from a baby stroller got my wheels turning. Just finished it this afternoon. It was my 3 yr olds stroller. I called Rugged Gear and ordered the gun racks. I made the barrel end holders from some rubber couplers, pvc end caps and some metal brackets. Had to cut off the sun shade and a few other stroller related items. It will hold (2) guns, my large shooting bag, at least a couple cases of shells and drinks. Got it done just in time for the Grand.--Matt

    Thanks for the idea Tron.

Looks like a nice job to me. I have never seen a gun cart that had the guns broke open on it. Again, nice job.

Great job! Yours even has that little mesh basket in the bottom like mine does. A lot of the home made jobs don't have that feature.

    Well done!

I used to shoot Cowboy Action and we carried in carts with actions open

No reason Matt cannot do the same. As a last resort get a stepped dowel or plastic rod/pipe and place it in the breech so the actions stay open.

    It is not rocket surgery.

Great looking cart. Some people have got to find something to pick at or they aren't satisfied. I get so tired of the old gomers at the clubhouse. I wonder if they have a problem with the hundreds of O/Us put in gun racks at the club, that aren't broken open. A cart is just a portable gun rack. I shoot sporting clays and use my cart and have never seen a cart with an O/U broken open when being carted. You are welcome to bring it to our club and shoot anytime. Mark

Thanks for all the compliments. I thought it might give some others ideas.

Bill--The motor? Come on, its bad enough i'm too lazy to carry my own stuff. LOL

As for the safety thing, i take safety very serious. As stated above, its simply a rolling gun rack.
