I enjoy this time of the year when all the liquor stores have their specials displayed with free glasses etc. I decided to treat myself to a decent bottle of scotch so I went looking for a 15-18 year vintage. Instead I bought the Glenmorangie 10 year because it came as a sample pack. One 750 bottle of 10 year, one 50ml bottle of The Nectar De'Or 12 year, one 50 ml of quinta cuban 12 year, one 50 ml of Lasanta 12 year. It was priced the same as a normal Glenmorangie 10 year at $39.95. Watch for the specials & enjoy the holidays

I quit drinking over 20 years ago, but if somebody knew where I could get my hands on a bottle of wax sealed Old Meldrum House single malt, I might just start drinking again.

Oh, Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas..........

The glasses I drink out of at the house are all "Candian Club" whiskey glasses that I purchased in their gift packs. Help I'm out of glasses. They haven't came out with a 750ml and a couple of glasses for years. The local liquor store had a gift pack of Jack Daniels with glasses - $45. Too steep for my blood, especially since I don't drink whiskey. Haven't had a shot of the stuff in probably 10 years. I would by the CC pack just for the glasses.

My drink is beer. I love whiskey, but found I tried to drink the same volume as I did with beer. Doing that will flat put me down.

costco here in Phoenix has Johnie Walker red, black, gold and blue on sale.

They have been handing out coupons for $27.00 off the 750 ml bottles of blue at the front door when you enter. That brings the price down to $198 a bottle plus tax.......

    Merry Christmas to all

Having lived in Phoenix I sure miss buying Liquor at Costco & Sams. Cant do it here in Idaho, the state stores rape us. When I moved I bought two cases of Jack at costco and saved $500 over the prices here

CC2000 : It is all your fault I had to go and buy a bottle of Glenmorangie Original which I had never tried. I can see more of it in my future. Thanks for the tip, that is nice. Michigan controls the price so no holiday sales here.

Washington State voted out their State run Liquor stores this year. The law takes effect in June.

Have you ever tried Knockando? A very smooth single malt. Price is reasonable too.

Lou, thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family. Knockando cost a little more than 12 year single malt Glenlevit. Unfortunately it's getting hard to find. I have enough left for a couple of glasses....with a Rocky Patel Toro.
