Kristen Gillibrand was named to replace Hillary Clinton in the US Senate! Kristen, a Democrate is 42 years old and is known has a hard worker. She worked until the day she gave birth! It nice to know that Caroline Kenndy was not appointed and that we got someone like Gillibrand! Kirsten Gillibrand also as a 100% rating from the NRA. She won her last election to Congress with a 62% margin, has a Law degree from UCLA. She has been in Congress since 2006. She has voted as one of the most conservative records in the state and she was elected in a heavily Republican part of the State. She has promoted transparency, posting her daily schedule, earmarks, and financial disclosure forms online.

The thought of someone like this, filling the historic "Daniel Patrick Moynihan" New York Senate seat, must be driving liberals nuts.

I'm betting she gets hit with a major primary barrage next time up?

Listening to Rush today, he made the comment that she is more conservative than the republicans she beat.

    I THINK:
The Governor got so tired of all the EXTREMELY liberal Democrat blue bloods trying to tell him what to do, that he said to himself "Screw you guys, I will appoint someone that will drive you people nuts for at least two years and maybe beyond".

And maybe we have a Democrat in the Senate that will vote PRO GUN!

He (Patterson) appointed her so that she'll also help him with his re-election bid in '10.

It's all about retaining power...not what's good for the people.
