I am aguing with my friends. A purse payout of two places administered "high Gun" would mean that if two scores were tied for first the two tied high scores would recieve the total of first and second monies. The combined money could shot off or split per the program or agreement of the shooters. The second high score would not recieve any money from the "high gun" purse.

    True.

But money is rarely shot off.

The way to remember it is, "High Gun" means shooters ("guns") are paid, "Percentage" means scores are paid.

So 60/40 High Gun with two 100s and one 99 would mean that the two 100s would split the money (50% each) and the 99 wouldn't get paid.

60/40 Percentage with two 100s and one 99 would mean that the two 100s would split 60% (30% each) and the 99 would be paid 40%.
