The sad thing is, the three branches of government are supposed to be a check and balance system. There are 537 guys in congress that are supposed to keep the president accountable, and a Supreme court that is supposed to keep them both in line with the constitution. All I see is all three branches rubber stamping the destruction of America while making themselves rich. And the systematically dumbed down, NEA educated population thinks all is well. They can hardly wait for the last of the patriots to die off, which is why obumacare has provision for denial of medical treatment for those the state deems a unworthy. While we were busy at work, the idiots have taken over the world.

...and still the fed keeps hiring employees (big push right now to add thousands of air traffic controllers), and they only want to cut pennies out of the budget.

Our system of politics needs a serious overhaul. It only gets in the way of those Republican politicians (as in "Tea Party") who actually are serious about cuts.
Wallowing around and pointing fingers at each other gets NOTHING done for American people.

I think an independent non-political panel of economists and finance professionals needs to be established, with defined parameters, to set the annual budget in a way that's done by private business. Proposals can only be vetoed by 65%+ vote of Congress.

There must be a better way than these politicians finding themselves in continual stalemates. If they were running a real business it would have been bankrupt LONG ago.

Term Limits - Term Limits - Term Limits.......and..........

After your term limit period you will NOT lobby, consult, advise or in fact enter any governmental facility for more than 3 hours for a period of 10 years. You will go back home and live under the laws you created for the rest of us.

    We need the 28th Admendment.

The math is wrong in one example. 65mph X 27 times faster is only 1755mph not 7,555mph.

Obama has no real press conferences. He couldn't even answer the 'soft' questions without looking like a total ass these days. His ability to pick the NCAA winning team has changed about 6 times now. This just goes to show the man loves to exercise his ego. But, he's a bumbling incompetent. Watch as Libya unfolds as just another monument to this mans Presidency. When are we going to stop electing Alfred E. Newman? Jim

Unfortunately, I don't believe that Obama is an idiot. I also don't believe that he is a genius. What he is is a far loeft idealist who seeks the destruction of the America WE know and love - the America WE grew up in.

In his mind we should not have so much. We should "spread the wealth" to those who have not done ANYTHING to earn or deserve it other than to exist! That is the CHANGE he has brought and he is far from finished. If this charlatan is re-elected, in the words of Clemenza from the Godfather, "we will have nothing to build on". America will become a second class nation and Obama will have achieved his objective.

The liberal fools who are complicit in this bear all of the blame because it could not be done without them! As Stalin said, "willing idiots"!

He can't do anything right, because no matter what he does people will say it's wrong. One man can't destroy a nation,it was started before he got there and it's a train wreck that started long before he was in politics.NO one can name ONE person who can turn it around. The government has taken this long to go bad,you ain't gonna correct it here,or even in the voting booth.Capitalism has run its course, all governments fail after a certain time.It just took capitalism longer,YES,it may be the best government on the outset, but now we see what happens when it's over legalized, over governed, and greed sets in at all levels.Sit back, hold on,it's going to be a helluva ride. Some live through the dark ages, some lived through the crusades,we are the luck ones to live through the fall or start of the modern era, depends how you percieve it.

Good luck to all, keep your guns, live well.

DHIP or Dip, if you prefer,

One man can't destroy a nation? Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot - and many others I coulod name. Any of them sopund familiar? Notice that they were all LEFTISTS!!!!

If capitalism has run its course, then totalitarianism is arond the corner. Rule by "the people" always turns out to be rule by the few over the people as was and is the case with the criminals I mentioned above.

Further, capitalism is relatively new to China and is powering it from a third world country into the emerging economic power it has become. How do you explain that - or are you waiting for your union "leaders" to give you the answer. Maybe at the next meeting.

dhip, don't give up on this country. Vote. And vote Republican or you are only part of the socialist problem that has taken over America.

Americans are beginning to stand up against socialism, corruption and a free-spending government that's out of control. I'd suggest you join this fight or you and yours will suffer the future consequences, and the prospects ain't pretty.

I agree with Leo "The sad thing is, the three branches of government are supposed to be a check and balance system. There are 537 men and women in congress that are supposed to keep the president accountable, and a Supreme court that is supposed to keep them both in line with the constitution. While we were busy at work, the idiots have taken over the world."

    -------------------------------------

I believe that both parties are to blame to what has happened to America.

I also believe that we the people have not done a good job in making sure our elected representatives adhere to the U.S. Constitution they take an oath and swear to uphold.

Greed, power and corruption is at an all time high within our government.

The Obama administration promised us complete transparency so I sent my two of my U.S. senators (one Republican and one Democrat) e-mails asking them to post on the Congressional website the net worth of every elected representative in Congress at the time they were elected to Congress and their net worth when they left Congress or their current net worth if they are still a member of Congress. It's been over six months since I sent my e-mails and I have yet to receive a reply and I know why and so do you.

Until we the people demand complete accountability, transparency and strict adherence to our Constitution, we can expect more greed, more government control over our lives and more corruption.

It saddens my heart to see what has happened to America as a result of this nation turning it's back on God. But there is "good news" on the horizon. One day soon, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

Bird dog, I don't slander people, you do,apparently your a shallow thinker, each person you mentioned did great harm to the countries mentioned,,they are still here, they are not destroyed.I was Union your correct on that point. However,if you've read any threads that mentioned that subject,I often point out the corruption that has developed over the years, greed, power always desroys ideas or ideals, depending how you look at it.Sorry if you have a different opinion,I just voiced what's happening, not to get on a soap box, but, there's a certain book you may read if you can, that predicted all this centuries ago.

    Hawk
I'm not giving up on the country, just trying to remind people how History tends to repeat it'sself as great governments have all went through Hard and debilitaing times, and it's never one persons fault. As mentioned by Bird, about some of the more notorious leaders,I have to pointout, theydidn't do it theirselves, they had help.I;m a registered Republican, only because when I was registered independent it limited my voting. As told by a recent person campaigning for votes,on paper I'm listed as a SUPER voter.LOL,never thought they kept that kind of record, but they do.I vote for who I think is best, and NEVER vote straight party line like a lemming.

    Over/under

I always have HOPE,a certain book I read says that's paramont.
Change--I have yet to see a president or politician that always made changes I liked.Hey,,even Tricky Dick did a change I didn't neccessarily agree with, caused me to get married when he stopped the draft.LMAO

One more for Birdog,,Monarchy can be the BEST ,if you have the right perosn in power. But alas, greed and power corrupts everyone,What do you think is wrong with our country, one,PRESIDENT,,your a bigger------never mind,..GREED,POWER ,here's one you mightundersatand---Money is the ROOT of ALL evil..
