I seem to be having a new problem with my MEC 9000. During the rotation the new primer is getting stuck when traveling to the recess in the new primer station. The machine then gets bound up and trips the indexer. This is starting to happen more and more frequently. Any experiences or assistance would be appreciated. Thank You.

Have had same problem. Remove primer seating and powder station. Meaning the stem, spring, and the part that primer falls into. See if the machine itself is worn there (on the mounting block). If it is, you need to stick a small washer underneath primer stem. If that works, but still hanging - you need to shave a few thousandths of the shoulder where primer seats. This is what I did to fix problem, and hard to explain. You can call if you want, and I can guide you thru it.

I had some problem with Winchester primers at times. I switched to STS primers and Fiocchi's and have had no problems. Try a different primer, worth a try.

Had same problem. Called MEC. Replaced the SPRING PAD, Part # 531-12.
Maybe you can buff rough spots out of your existing spring pad.
I replaced mine, end of problem.

Fellows, when having problems with a MEC machine, just call MEC. They are
excellent in telling you what is wrong & how to get it fixed.
