help with browning A 500

    i fellow at my club gave me his browning A 500 on the week end ,there was a crack in the forend i fiberglaased it and have been trying to put the barrel back on receiver with no luck ,what am i doing wrong or is there some trick to it ...help...,p.s even with the forend off it just does not go into the reeiver far enough

    The barrel on the A500 actually compresses a spring in the receiver, the barrel moves about a half inch on recoil. The barrel on a A5 moves a lot more. It is a piece of cake but send me a PM and I'll walk you through it if you still have trouble. My A500 has worked great since I bought it in 1988.
