help WANT TO LOAD 1250

    i HAVE MY FIRST LOADER COMING IN THE MAIL..I HAVE LOADED ON OUR CLUB RELOADER I WANT ANY OR ALL IDEAS.. PLEASE I WANT TO SHOOT 1250 OR 1260 FPS 1 1/8 OZ,, I HAVE 1,000 NITTRO HULLS .. WINCHESTER PRIMERS OPEN TO IDEAS THANKS

    Check the powder companies for data. I would suggest Alliant Unique or Herco for starters. I would also try to keep the pressures low enough to be safe. My favorite 1250 fps load develops just under 10,000 PSI. I would also take a look at using the Vesalite Wads. They do a great job at those velocities in the Remington hulls.

    I've loaded 22.8-23.5grns of PB win209 downrange fig8 wad in nitro shells. Book shows it to be under 10,000psi. 23.5 is supposed to be 1250, but i haven't chronoed it. This load is plenty fast i prefer 21-22grns.

    I load green dot. Alot cheaper than most of the powders available to get those speeds without the recoil. Good Luck, Tim

    24 grains of Unique.. 1 1/8oz shot DR Versalite wad.. Remington hull Winchester primer 1256 average 10 shots 9277 av. psi

    I load Remington hulls with this load and it is a light recoil (to me)load. Plus you get clean burning load also.

    Rem. hull, Win. 209 primer, Rem fig 8 wad, 23.7 gr of Hodgdon Universal Clays and 1 1/8 oz of 7 1/2's @ 9900 psi = 1255 fps.
