Help Please - Choke information for a new shooter

Help please?

Just upgraded my son's 20 gauge to a 12 gauge (Citori XT) & I've gone from a BT 99 to an unsingle / double combo (Beretta)

These guns come with a choke set, but it's not something I had to worry about previously. Please could somebody advise what the typical choke configurations (full, mod, improved mod etc) should be for the following?

Single - bottom barrel for the O/u & the Unsingle
Handicap - as above
Doubles - Top Barrel & Bottom barrel

My other son picked up a 2nd hand Remington 3200 Trap special - looks like it is a fixed full choke barrel - are there ways to add a different choke size or is it meant to be shot as is?

Thanks
David

David, first off, it's not uncommon for the markings to mean nothing.

Mod normally would be. 020 over your bore dia.

I mod something around. 025

full could mean anything from.032 to. 044..

You really should get the bores of each gun miked. Then the chokes and see what the true constriction of the chokes are.

That being said, singles, handicap and 2nd bird doubles I'd screw in something around. 028-.032.

For first bird doubles I use. 020.
