I have a TM1 and was trying to remove the forestock iron, Once I got the plunger and threaded tube out I didn't have any luck getting the wood free from the iron. I didn't try to force anything and decided to ask for advice. Would it be ok to screw the hollow tube back in 5 or 6 turns and tap on it with a rawhide hammer to break it loose? Any other tips? Thanks, a cautious gyrine

The next step is to insert a Perazzi stock wrench through the hole in the front of the forearm and loosen. Then you can separate the forend from the iron.

It's loose. Just tap it as you mentioned, with your rawhide mallet.
