I should be in Double Adobe setting in the warm sun and shooting targets. I am stuck in Nebraska in a snow drift. I intended to leave Tuesday but I discovered a propane leak in the built in tank as I was loading the MH. I couldn't get it in the shop for repairs until Thursday. When I got to the shop it started snowing. I am still waiting to leave and the weather report has snow warnings from now until Tuesday. It ain't fair!!!!!

Anybody in DA can help me out by shooting a few targets for me.

    Zard,

I know I have your barrels around here somewhere unless I sold them to that guy who came by here selling cleaning stuff. You know my motto "A happy customer is a turkey" or maybe it was "A happy customer has a turkey" I can't remember. Did you notice that Dorothy Jones is doing the news items for the DA Webb page?

    Lit,

You know what they say. "Do a thousand things right then just once ---- --- ---- and you are a ---------- for life". Can't be too careful with your reputation. If you are going to soar like an eagle you can't run with turkeys. Speaking of turkeys how are you getting along with the cultural shock of moving from the land of Hubert H. Humphrey into the land of Herbert W. Armstrong?

You should get to AZ in time for the skeet shooting.

Go to Phantom and stand on the runway.

It was very windy today and Earl did not shoot! I could have used some of your extra shells in the doubles. On several occasions when I approached the second bird I was out of shells, but we had fun. Look forward to seeing you soon.

A stand up guy would not denigrate another clay target shooter.

If it walks like a duck...........

I shoot all the clay target sports, and I life my life as my dad taught me.

You just go ahead and do what you are good at.

    Halfmile,

I think I should like you because we both shoot trap, I spend a lot of the summer shooting prairie dogs in Wyoming, and We both spent our younger years trying to make motorcycles go fast. I assume you shoot skeet and I don't really care much. I have several friends who are skeeters; one has a world championship to his credit. On the other hand I have found that many of the other skeeters I have dealt have been less than honorable. For that reason I will continue to "denigrate" skeeters. If it bothers you that much I guess we just won't be friends, your loss. Hell I don't know your name anyway.

BTW I still shoot some skeet and quite a bit of sporting clays.

Jim, we had a guy in our club just like you. He used every opportunity to talk down skeet shooters, advocated tearing out the skeet fields, etc etc. He even had some hats made saying "I would rather have my sister be a prostitute than marry a skeet shooter".

When pressed he would say, "it's all in fun".

His words caused alot of problems because some people took them seriously. It even got to the point of shouting matches and near violence. I did not care for that.

I just don't believe in it and yes, I do take offense at it. Not on a personal basis, but I think it hurts shooters in general.

I have met jerks in ALL the clay target sports. I have also met many, many great people.

And I am really interested in Wyoming prairie dogs. Never been there, but South Dakota has gotten 2-3 thousand rounds yearly of PD shooting from me for the last decade or so.

Email me and I will make a copy of "Prairie Dog Be Gone" for you.
