Yep, if you make $30k a year and your employer pays $6000 a year for your health insuance that will be added to your gross amount you earn. In other words you will now pay tax on $36000. This is our great government.Sectiion 9002 tax code.

Well, some of us tried to warn everyone before the election, but many people didn't seem to want to listen.

You will not have to pay additional taxes on employer paid health insurance. Your employer will have to report it on your W2 but you will not be taxed on the additional amount reported. I just read an article about this very subject. I will try to find it and post it later. This is being done because in 2014 the IRS will report to whoever, whether or not you and your dependents have health insurance.

I know the unions will not have to pay it but what about the other 99% of us?

It is interesting just from the small sampling of comments above that there seems to be several understandings of the sweeping law just enacted and how it impacts each of us. Stand by for lots of surprises. I love this country. Best Regards, Ed

This is what I could find. I don't see anything too bad on it.

We were having hamburgers with the neighbors at their house. The topic came up and my neighbor began complaining about his expected additional 10k healthcare tax income increase. He expects to pay an additional 3 - 4000. His wife began questioning etc., no we explained to her, Dan was correct. What?? She asked. She had been all for Obama, the rest of us not - she didn't want to listen when it mattered > just as the majority of American voters.

Of course, this will not effect many Obama supporters as they receive "free" health care anyway. The majority were non-property holding, city dwelling people. You know the breakdown.

The crux of this whole topic, often not discussed, is that this was the one largest redistribution of money in US history from the haves (working people) to the have-nots. (including non-workers, aliens residing in the country, etc.) That bell is not rung by the media and it still needs to be heard.

Archer, it may be right what they say but I wouldnt count on it. The new laws just passed, referred to as the new 2300 pages are claimed to have more amendments and laws than the origional health care law. Wait and see.

The Attorney General for the State of VA is already making progress on challenging the Constitutionality of the Bill and it was just ruled the case will not be dismissed like the Feds wanted it to...

The Dems are now saying that people who do not buy health insurance will be Taxed...This was not the original angle...Their angle has to do with the Interstate Commerce Clause. This is why they are now wanting to call it a tax...Something Obummer said he was not going to do.. What a two faced liar!!!!!

Bottom line....You can't force individuals into commerce or buying something therefore forced to pay a tax or fine for not participating. In short you can't be taxed for being alive and that is what them Mother-Fers are trying to do...If this is not overturned it will mean the Government has the authority to tax anything they want for any reason! Scary! This Bill will be overturned once it gets to the supreme court...

No taxation without representation. Who represented the people.

The Liberals and socialist and commies have all their representatives in Barry's regime.

Gary K. is right, the amount will appear on your W2 but will not be taxed, at least not now but watch out in the future. One of these lefties will calculate the potential amount that could be taxed and they will drool until the impulse is so strong the lefties will attack. Our only hope is 1. this coming Nov. elections and 2.The 2012 election. I was brought a democrat but after Carter came to my senses. My father was a dem, A PRECINCT Captain but todays so called democrats are not the party of my father. RS
