I just wanted to remind everyone that we are having another Lewis Class shoot at Redlands this Saturday, 2/23 sign up starts a 8:30am, shoot starts at 9:00am . Last month we had 42 shooters and handed out 24 checks totaling $1420.00 to 18 different shooters. Who says you can’t win any money shooting trap? See the winners list from last month.

We have a real fun format. We shoot 3, 50 target events and have a shootoff right after each event for the top five scores in 3 Lewis Classes. The events are shot 25 targets at 16 and 25 at 21, then 16 & 24 and 16 & 27. While first Lewis shootoff qualifying scores were in the 48-50, third Lewis were in the 42-44 range so all skill levels had a fair chance and each class shot for 1/3 the of money in each event. Even better, we had 34 out of the 42 shooters qualify for at least 1 shootoff and that made for a lot of fun.

After the third event we total the 3 scores and then have an HOA shootoff with the same format. Each shooting event is $25.00 and the HOA is $15.00. Shoot as many events as you like. You don’t need any established average or yardage so this format is perfect for league, games, skeet, SC and recreational trap shooters. Everyone is welcome. No Pre-Squading Needed.

For all you who can’t join us, we would still like to hear your comments on this format.

    Hi Bomber61:

I'm all set to come your shoot this Saturday. Am Bringing along at least two friends who I think will enjoy this "Lewis" format.

I shot last month and it was a blast.

The weather forecast looks good at 60 F, sun and clouds and light winds.

Friday's forecast for Saturday has improved:

Mostly sunny, high of 63 but feels like 72, wind at 3 MPH.

DIRECTIONS: Redlands Shooting Park address is 2125 N. Orange St., Redlands, CA, 92374. (909) 335-8844. As you approach the city of Redlands from either direction on Interstate 10, turn off at the Downtown Redlands off ramp and go straight for one block to Orange St., then head north on Orange for about one mile. The shooting park is on the left

    See You There!
