Let me preface this by saying that I'm normally the first one to poo-poo any gun coming out of Turkey, since their track record isn't the greatest.

That being said, I'm intrigued by the Hatsan Escort left handed 12ga and 20ga shotguns. Either can be had for under $600, and looking at the pictures online, they are full of features, and are a quite attractive looking gun.

A little bit of internet research shows that reviews are fairly positive (more so than some of the other turkish stuff out there). I will need to see if I can find a local retailer that carries any of this line so I can at least look at one in the flesh and check out the fit and finish.

They also carry a 5 year warranty, which is kinda rare when it comes to guns now a days.

I had a Turkish escort once. At first glance she was really gorgeous but when I started running the rounds through her she just couldn't keep up and fell apart.

I've never had that problem with Italian or German escorts.

This is the one I was looking at. MSRP of $619, street price around $550. 28" step rib barrel, screw chokes (mobile choke thread), 5 year warranty, stock adjustment shim system.

The thing that has me thinking about one is that they have no spring tube in the stock (like an 1100), so it gives you more options for playing with the stock, or you could even put a PFS on one...

EuroJoe- More times than I care to remember. Just completely cleaned a Standard Weight 20ga for a friend of mine last week.

    Why?
