I put a Hasting slug barrel on my BPS and when I close the action the last
one and half inches things get very tight and its difficult to close. Anyone
have any ideas on cause or any possible remedies? Justin Conley

Cycle it a couple dozen times and then remove the barrel and look for brite spots in the top barrel tang area that the bolt slides under as well as near the lockup area...you might want to do some polishing of the rub areas with a polishing bit on a dremel or just ccycle it alot while watching tv until it "breaks in"....since it does close and open you should be ok until it wears in
