1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I was looking at the Tipton Gun Vise and Tipton Best Gun Vise at MidwayUSA and wonder if anyone here has any thoughts on this product. Is it a good addition for your cleaning bench?

I got one mounted to my bench and love it. Make sure you mount it near the end of the bench so a break open gun will be able to open.

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for tip on mounting near the end of the bench. I didn't think of that.

So, if you put a break open gun in the vise, can you put the gun in "broken open" status for barreling clean?

Would it allow you to mount just the receiver/stock in the vise without the barrel for giving the receiver a good cleaning?

I thinkg the front base will move that far to the butt stock end. The middle support can be stood up to hold it as well. Amazon.com had them for $87.49 with free shipping.
