Has anyone ever seen a Remington 870 TX?

    Just curious. I've never seen one for sale.

    Yes. Pretty rare and made in the 1960's I believe. They have very light colored blonde wood, gold tone accent/plated receiver pins, end cap, and trigger. I have won a number of friendly beer bets from people never hearing or knowing what a TX (and stamped TX on receiver) Remington is. A guy I shoot with from time to time owns it here in N. California.

    i have never seen an 870 tx. i do have an 1100 F grade with gold inlays. lots of people have never seen one of these either. dwain

    TA, TB, TC, TD, TF, TX..yep, they all exist and a few more custom engraved ones from the custom shop. Owned a TX once but a friend fell in love with it and had to have it..He sold it again in about three months.

    I've never seen a trap or skeet model, but I have seen a field model TX with the most beautiful sunburst pattern wood. I was alwyays under the impression that there were more field model TX's made than trap models.
