Every day I get e-mails that say I won the lottery. Usually from an African country. yesterday I got one that says that if I don't pay $20,000.00 I am going to be killed. Saleh Mutlak says that someone has hired friends of his to kill me but if I pay him I won't be killed.
I know its spam but I have never got one before that said I had A contract out on me. My internet provider said that probably lots of people got the same one.
They also said that it would be impossible to trace its origin.
Just wondered if anyone elso has got one.

Go to the library, create a yahoo e-mail account with a fake name, and send them about 100 e-mails with large file attachments.

I hate to tell you that this is very true. Two years ago I had the same email and I ignored it. One night while sitting alone in my Library reading up on current events I was shot thur the window hitting me square between the eyes. I can also tell you it is no fun being dead, just ask me!...........;0)

When I feel like replying, here's what I send. Actually had someone reply asking what language I was speaking and where I was from. I got a kick out of it:

Wesk farnatado nir oskam dep furqak ob nixko dol maber.

    Forlev kist pombar dy mubar.

    Oskrtino,

    Mosbar Pomecsig

timb99: This Bud's for you!!! Your post had me in stitches; most creative thing I have heard to deal with those.

I sometimes write back asking for a good faith cash payment to be sent via parcel post to an address to be named later.

Or I say I am in Jamaica and am pissed; therefore, I have put a "Mojo Spell" on the sender. Never hear back...

But the fake foreign language deal...that's several creative steps above what I've done thus far.

    chango,

Here's the entire conversation, starting after the first e-mail I sent back:

    can you speak english.

    My reply: Onkito da sembri.

I cant understand what you are talking about.

    Thank you

    Mrs.Pratt.

My reply: Forlabu distafalku mos pembar? Doofus

    which country are you from?

    My reply: Polikanardo

Unfurtunately, they stopped after that. I was ready with all kind of nifty replies.

Not that there is any merit behind the E Mail, but anytime an E Mail contains a threat of death or bodily harm it should be reported to your ISP or the local authoritys ... Its just the right thing to do and does not imply that you are paranoid in anyway ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

ISP = Internet Service Provider, you should be able to notify them by phone or by sending them an E Mail (forwarding the threatening E Mail to them would be best) ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
