HARD CHROME REMOVAL???

    It can be bead blasted off but the best way is to have it chemicaly removed. All traces must be removed if you want to reblue as blue will not take where there is any trace of the chrome. Metaloy is the hard chrome company I use, they should be able to remove it for you. Tell Chris that Ross sent you.

    One of the mistakes I made many years ago was to chrome plate a Ljutic I had engraved. Took it to a local chrome shop that did a lot of work on automobile parts. They plated it but added so much plating, the gun would not close. I took it back and they reversed the process and easily removed the plating and I blued the gun. It seems to be a simple process to remove chrome plating.
