Surely, we can put aside our differences for one day and enjoy the Holiday. Then, we can fight like cats and dogs again. LOL

    Overkill????

I prefer my gobblers in the 34B to 36C range.

At any size, I do like to check my turkeys for freshness tho.

Normally I prefer the breast meat but sometimes it is too dry on a turkey.

My oldest sister called me this morning. She was trying to call my brother's wife. I told her I didn't think it was a good idea. We overlooked the fact that she stabbed my brother and tried to kill him before last Thanksgiving. But my sister didn't know that she was now shacking up with another man. My brother can't go anyway because his ankle bracelet won't allow it. I don't think I want her showing up alone with her new man. You have to love Thanksgiving and getting together with the extended family. My oldest sister has to leave early to visit her son in a Texas prison. His only problem was he loved money but didn't want to have to work very hard for it. He got caught. Thank God for my children. I still love any holiday that is centered around food.

Talk about overkill. Efficient tho, no flotation device required whilst water skiing.

Got this in an email today....

    Ingredients:
    1 whole turkey
1 large lemon, cut into halves
    salt and pepper to taste
butter or olive oil, whichever you prefer

    Heat oven to 350 degrees

Rub butter or oil over the skin of the turkey until it is completely coated.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.

    Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the breast meat;
Slide lemon halves under the skin with the peel side up, one on
each side. This way the juice from the lemon will release into the breasts.

Cover and bake for 30-45 minutes. Remove cover and continue
to roast until juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes.

If you've followed these steps correctly, your turkey should
look like the one in the picture.

    Bon Appetit!
