    I am to lazy to go and find my ATA book or download the book from the website so i thought I could get a few of you to explain the way(s) you get punched back yards. Certain score earned, place in a shoot, 16 yd average??????

    Can you ge punched back for scores achieved while picking up birds and not during a particular "shoot"??

    Thanks!!!!

    Also... what is the penalty yardage for the PA state shoot if I don't have a thousand birds registered by June? Its my first year in AYA?

    Big Al, since you are a big enough person to admit to being lazy, I will confess to being rude. No - I will not help you.

    96 = half yard

    high score with 15 or more shooters = 1/2 yard

    high score with 40 or more shooters = 1 yard

    can't remember the punches after that.

    If you don't have enough birds in for the PA shoot, penalty will probably be 2 yards.

    EARNED YARDAGE
    1. Yardage will be automatically earned by shooters of high scores in all
    ATA registered events, according to the following table. This additional
    yardage is indicated by punches on the shooter’s Average Card.
    EARNED YARDAGE TABLE
    High Scores (and all ties)
    Entries 1st 2nd 3rd 4th
    15-39 1/2 yd
    40-69 1 yd
    70-124 1 yd 1/2 yd
    125-249 1 yd 1 yd 1/2 yd
    250-499 1 1/2 yd 1 yd 1/2 yd
    500-1499 2 yds 1 1/2 yds 1 yd 1/2 yd
    1500 and up 2 1/2 yds 2 yds 1 1/2 yds 1 yd
    2. Any score of 96 will automatically earn 1/2 yard provided it does
    not earn at least that much under the earned yardage table. Any score
    of 50x50 or 75x75 in events of that length will automatically earn 1/2
    yard provided it does not earn at least that much under the earned
    yardage table.

    in addition;

    4. Any score of 97, 98, and 99 or winning a total of $750 or more (option and added money) in a single handicap event will automatically earn 1 yard, and a score of 100 or winning a total of $1200 or more (option and added money) in a single handicap event will automatically earn 1 1/2 yards provided these scores do not earn at least that much under the earned yardage table.

    Thanks guys. HGWT, you don't have to be a Dick, just keep your mouth shut then if you didn't want to help me out, no big deal. 90% of the questions asked on here about ATA rules can be looked up in their book. I didn't have my book handy, I was meaning to look it up, I remembered and asked.
