Anyone have a favorite 22 yard handicap load? I am shooting in a 22 yarder next and am interested in making a different load than 18 gr. Red Dot and 1.125 oz. lead.

    Thanks in advance

    Chuck

Shouldn't be any different, Chuck. When you hit the 25, then start thinking about a hotter load, and for sure #7 1/2 shot. For now don't get distracted unnessarily, 18 or 22, it's all the same, really.

Chuckie my favorite load for 22 to 24 is 21 1/2 grains of PB, fig 8 or AA white wad in either AA or STS hull, 488 grains of 7 1/2 shot.

At that distance don't worry yourself with the speed of your loads. What ever you use for the 16 yard line you can use for your handicap.

Up to 24 yds. is just long Singles. If you're consistently in the high 90's in Singles you've got the correct load for both!!
