haaving problems seeing through scope w new glases

    I have progressive lens and found out today I can't see good.If I take my glasses off I can see through a scope fine.Sucks.should I buy some straight shooting glasses without the bi focal?

    I can see fine through a scope with my blended bi-focals. I do use glasses with no bi-focal to shoot trap and hunt because of the perifrial vision advantage....Dave

    With glasses I have to adjust the rear bell on the scope. Then I can see.

    you may have to re-adjust the focus on the scope.

    Try tilting your head to where you are not looking through the transition area of the glasses. I had this problem and went to lined bifocals. No more problem.

    It depends - should you buy something without bifocals

    Ans - Yea- unless you want to be continually irritated by this

    Alt Ans- you may want to shoot with plano but then you cant take your eye from the scope and see what is going on


    It amazes me the people that complain every day for years about this situation- fix is simple

    similar- good shooters who want shooting glasses with bifocal lenses---
