    Hi All

My Beretta 686 is giving soft primer hits. My gun is about 10 years old and I think I need need new firing pins and or springs. I figure Ill get a trigger job in the process. I live in Milwaukee and I want to know who is a good gunsmith in SE Wisconsin. I'm willing to drive a 150 mi radius from Milwaukee for the best service.

    All opinions are welcome.

    Thanks
    JS

I saw Doug's Gunsmith Shop in the WTA Calendar this year. I was hoping to find something closer that I could drive to as this is my only shotgun and I want it back ASAP..

Not to discredit coot shooter but seriously there aren't any worthwhile gunsmiths in SE Wisconsin? Hard to believe as we are a large metro area........

I guess that is why I couldn't find one.

Firing pins & springs a;re no problem. Any manually litereate guy can handle that one. Get them from Jimmy Flynn on this site.

Trigger job is another matter. Why do you think you need one? My Berettas all had very adequate triggers.

Give Rick a call at Wild Wings Hunt Club, he does all their gunsmithing and blueing. 920-533-8735. He's SE of Midwest Sporting Goods. Take 41N to 28E and go a few miles to W and turn N on W and it will take you right to the club.

    Redscare,

I am very particular about who works on my guns. I do most of the minor work myself, but if I have something that I can't handle, I send it to these gentlemen.

I guess I am biased, as I have developed a working relationship with both of them, as they were very close to my home. they are also extremely good gunsmiths and honest business men. I trust both of them, and that is a big factor for me. Turn around time has also always been good.

    Just my honest opinion .....
