How many trap shooters shoot guns that are close to 10 lbs or above? A friend of mine just got a new gun & it weighs 9 lbs 11oz. I think it is too heavy.

My MX-10 is right at 10 lb.s. The balance is important but, the more weight the less recoil. If well balanced a heavy gun can be an asset.

I really thought my Kolar T/S weighed a lot more than my TM-1 Perazzi.

So I put them on the scales, and my Kolar weighed exactly 10 lbs and my Perazzi weighed in at 9.5 lbs. I was shocked, as I thought the Kolar would weigh at least a pound or two more than my TM-1.

Must be in how the weight is distributed.
