Well, life is nothing if not challenging. I am trying to do a private party sale with a gentleman here on TS and my dealer on this end, OakTree Gun Club has had a change in THEIR policy that is putting a hitch in my get along. It seems that a couple of weeks ago they decided that they will only do FFL to FFL transfers from out of state so now....I have to find an FFL near Ballintine SC that will ship a gun to my FFL here in SoCal. Damn....what a PITA.

Fah. Nothing compared to what NFA transfers require.

If it was me, I'd be looking for a new dealer on MY end.......

    Good luck.

Yep, I'm gonna call ADDAX tomorrow. Sadly, I just re-upped my membership at Oak Tree so that the DROS transfer fees would be half ($75) of the fee charged to non-members. I figured I'd make it up in transfer savings this year. That's not likely to happen now. I understand their position...it just sucks for me.

Any FFL sending a gun to CA, MUST send it to an approved CADOJ FFL dealer.

I have to assume the one mentioned above has been pre-approved by the DOJ, but the sending FFL better check the DOJ site before shipping. CA considers it a felony to ship to an FFL in CA that has not been approved by the folks in Sacramento first.

I did the paperwork when CA first introduced this restriction and got approved to ship guns to CA.
