Is it best to store your trap gun with the trigger(s) in the "set" position or not? Just can't remember. I have a Kolar Unsingle and usually dismantle the weapon and store it with the the triggers "set".

Thanks and sorry for the Senior Moment/Brain Fart.

I was always told to release all springs..so I even unload my hangun mags, with the exception of the one under my mattress..and I rotate that mag monthly...if a firearm is stored, I release the triggers, and open the bolts.....safer that way too.. LarryB

The usual mantra is to relax all springs possible as they will "tire" or weaken over time. Most break open shotguns have a method of doing that once the barrel(s) are removed. Check your owner's manual for instructions......breakemall
