    Question:

There is a guy who shoots trap at one of the clubs I shoot at who uses a three-wheeled cart like some use in sporting clays to carry his guns and ammo. The guns are break action and when in the cart they are closed. Granted they point down at probably 45 degrees but I wonder about safety if he ever gets distracted and forgets to unload before he puts them away?

I know a lot of sporting clays shooters use these carts and while I don't like them I also recognize that on a clays course you don't have the volume or density of people traffic you have at a trap or skeet shoot.

    Any thoughts or comments?

    Perfectly acceptable for break-action guns.

If he is shooting trap, when he leaves the line he should be empty. Unless he loads another shell when he's done! But then nothing will stop stupid. We see this all the time at registered shoots - the cart, not the "stupid" part.

The golf carts with guns closed not make you nervous too?

Yes, this incident should prompt a 3.5 million dollar study on shotguns and pullcarts.

Go over to the gun rack and see all those break opens closed. Report back.

My friends and I walk around together all the time carrying our guns. Our guns are uncased and always loaded.

    We call it hunting. LOL
