Here below are small snippets from several "Letters to the Editors". You will need to read them in the order they are posted, in order to follow the story.

The first...This is a letter to the editor, in THE CAPITOL TIMES, Madison WI.

    http://www.madison.com/tct/opinion/letters/296573

"Furthermore, if we had prohibited the purchase of more sophisticated weapons, several innocent victims would not have died at restaurants, universities and shopping malls."

    ------------------------

The second letter.....Same paper, different day.

    http://www.madison.com/tct/opinion/letters/297313

"There are some of us "cold dead hands" types, perhaps 3 percent of gun owners, who would kill anyone who tried to further restrict our God-given liberty. Don't extrapolate from your own cowardice and assume that just because you would do anything the government told you to do that we would."

    ---------------

And finally here, if you care to read some comments about both letters....

    http://www.snowflakesinhell.com/2008/07/23/could-we-please/

(Snowflakes in Hell...Because It’ll Be a Cold Day in Hell Before We Surrender the Second Amendment)

I thought this way of posting would keep those not too keen on lengthy "COPYING & POSTING" posts a little more happy.

    It's simple.

Citizens and freemen own arms.

Subjects and slaves do not.

Ask those who want to take your arms away why they want to make you a slave to the state.

It's "We the People", not "We the Subjects".
