I am considering a used Citori Superlight (not feather) for my next Pheasant gun, as I really like field guns with an English stock. The gun come in 2 3/4" only. Does anyone see this as an issue for a Pheasant gun? Will I regret not having a 3" gun?

I have never hunted pheasant with 3" shells, nor felt the need to.

Except one time when I accidentally brought some turkey loads instead of my normal pheasant loads.

    Even when I hunt with a 20 gauge, I use 2-3/4" shells.

I would keep a supply of 2 3/4 magnum shells on hand, anywhere from 50 to 100 shells to use during he end of either the Duck or phesant & Quail season and still do to this day. I enjoyed the end of the seaons it gave ya the chance to see how far out one could reach to touch a bird or duck. I would also use 7 1/8's or 6's. Perfered the Remingtons the best. I could get a couple reloads out of them. (Rich.inAz)
