Go to the above link. This is what I found about the issue. Nothing in this about giving power to local governments.

Not an idiot, a crooked backstabbing politician. He used shady under the table deals to defeat carry law twice. Outright bribery.

Doyle should be in jail for his deceit and treachery. stole the Tobacco money too.

Google up the liberal socialistic rag of Madison. (Capital Times) If you google madison.com you can then click on the Times' website. Doyle proposes all gun show sellers to have FFL's so as to do background checks. He also proposes to allow local laws to supersede State/Federal laws. Quote from Democrap Puke Face Doyle; "It's a lot different selling a gun in Milwaukee than a town in Northern Wisconsin". This was brought to Doyle by the Democratic leftist congressman from Milwaukee, Spencer Coggs. That bald headed liberal, (Doyle) is following in the same footsteps as that Democrap liberal from Illinois. (Rod Blodjovich or whatever his name is). Doyle will just "pick away" at gun rights until he has what he wants. Why the people of Wisconsin re-elected this puke is beyond comprehension!!

This Govenor is the biggest thief this State ever produced. He also stoled road and bridge money for some of his stupid projects. Some of the projects moved out ten years, I wonder if the bridge you drive over is one not being repaired. Thousands of retirees are leaving this state because of TAXES and he keeps raising them along with fees and licenses. I get so upset talking about him it makes me sick. I don't have enough time left in life to tell you all the stupid things this A$$H... is doing.

Worst Governor in the states history! Unfortunately, the opposition party could only muster a milk toast candidate! The good news is when Republican Scott Walker runs against the guy on the next election he will be soundly defeated. We will be rid of this idiot once and for all.

P.S. Scott shoots trap and sporties at a local gun club near Muskego, WI

I wonder if the turncoat bastard from Port Wing is going to get the judgeship he was promised for changing his vote on the carry law?

Disclaimer: of course this was only a rumor. After cosponsoring the law he just"changed his mind".

How do you get the dirty out of politics?

I hadn't heard of the legislation suggested above, but it presents an interesting situation.

In every other way, the Gov is trying to wrest control from the locals to the state. Examples include the "smoke free" laws, where one state law would supercede all local ordinaances. Another is a recent bill introduced that would remove municipalities' authority to discipline police officers, and replace it with a state commission that would handle all police discipline matters. The State's argument is that the police would only be getting the same treatment as other state employees. The problem is that they are NOT state employees, but local City employees.

My whole point is that it becomes apparent that consistency is not necessary when it is politically expedient not to be. Certainly some of the liberal communities would pass these laws.
